Tower Construction

This is one of many towers we have installed over the years, a 160 foot Magnum brand tower for an AM station. We completed all phases of the construction except the brush clearing. The ground work was a little tricky because the holes kept filling up with water. Once the concrete was cured, the tower went together well. The hard part was laying 120 radials of  #10 copper wire about 8 inches underground and going out 160 feet. We did this with a tractor equipped with a wire plow but we came to a stop many times to chop out large and very tough roots.
