Connector Installation
We
have installed coax and waveguide connectors of all types and sizes,
and sometimes in some pretty precarious positions. In the picture
below, we cut off this five inch coax about 3 feet below the connector,
installed a new connector, and re-routed it to fit up to a new antenna.
This was a little tricky because it is 400 feet up and we didn't want
to take the coax off the tower to install the new connector. We devised
a way to make a clean cut on the cable in its vertical position
without having copper chips fall down inside. The connector
installation was then fairly routine.
